R.E.I.T.
Turf and Sod

R.E.I.T. offers both seeding and sodding for establishing lawns. We begin by consulting with you to select the type of grass that best meets the needs of the property.

Seeding

Good lawns are a mix of grasses. We use a precise mixture of Kentucky bluegrass, creeping red fescue, and perennial ryegrass to give lawns the maximum amount of pest resistance and environmental adaptation.

We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each grass type and method of installation such as cost, establishment time, potential soil incompatibility problems, seasonal issues, and potential for weed invasion. We also take into consideration any erosion or drainage concerns that may have an impact on the success of establishing your lawn.

Our experienced crews are used for all types of installation.  Seeding is specific to installation in early spring or early fall in order to receive adequate moisture to assure germination and seedling survival.

Sodding

When sodding is selected, we use only fresh quality sod. We will treat the sod with water for the first 4 weeks after installation.

Soil Analysis

We conduct soil analysis tests to find out which nutrients the soil or turf are missing for a healthy lawn.  Soil samples are analyzed by Penn State in order to write a prescription for full, lush, green turf.
